I'm sorry that I haven't been able to post anything lately since I am busy with my practical examination and I don't have anything interesting to talk about other than the exam hahaha. But this post is inspired by the practical examination in my PE class. So we were given the list of gymnastic position to choose from. It's for our gymnastic score and I chose to do the splits.
I don't know why but every one who heard somebody was doing splits is like "OMG you are so elastic blablabla I am unable to do that blablabla" or starting to question "Did you take ballet lessons?". I don't understand why people was saying those things because you know what? I think everyone without any related deficiency is able to do it.
I think if you practice hard and do it properly, you will most likely able to do the splits just like any other gymnastic positions. You don't have to be a ballerina to do it. If you want to just practice and I'm sure you will grow much more stronger.
When people asked me wether I take ballet lesson or not, I said yes I used to took it in kindergarten until the third grade and they instantly think that is why I am able to do the splits now. But NO it is not because I took ballet lessons, it is because I practice to train my muscle and maintain my elasticity. Do you think that without practicing your skill will stay there? Just like any other muscle it won't stay strong without any effort.
So I say if you want to do the splits or other gymnastic poses, do it there is nothing wrong about starting something new by working your muscle BUT remember practice does not makes perfect but perfect practice makes perfect so don't hurt yourself or push yourself too much because everybody have their own limit and good luck!
