food hybrids

I am all about food trends and I love many creative food hybrids. For y'all that don't know what a food hybrid means, it is basically a hybrid (combination of two elements) made of food! The first food hybrid I know is a rice patty burger I ate when I am in elementary school which I found it really unique and cool because at that time it is rare to find food hybrids. Now it is very easy to find food hybrids and there are so many of them!

My ultimate favorite food hybrid is the legendary cronut created by Dominique Ansel. I think cronut is even the start of the food hybrid trend. In my lovely country, it is still hard to find food hybrids that's why I wanted to share the most popular ones that I have eaten before :

✿  Rice Burgers
Burger with rice buns which is the first food hybrid I ever
eaten. I ate it at MOS Burger a Japanese fast food restaurant
  which create the rice burgers.

✿  Cronut
Croissant and donut which I think is the start of this food
  trends

✿  Pizza Cone
A pizza shaped into a cone which is pioneered by Konopizza

  Cookie Shots
Basically a shot glass made of cookie dough and filled with
milk which is also created by Dominique Ansel

  Ramen Burger
It is almost the same as the rice burgers but the buns are made
of ramen. This hybrid popped up in Smorgasburg food market in
  New York

And now since the cronut there are so many hybrids that I haven't tried before such as the ramen pot pie, cruffin (croissant muffin), mac and cheese dumplings, ramnut (ramen donut), mac and cheese quesadilla, s'morn dog (marshmallow and milk in the shape of a corn dog), ramen fries, ramen poutine, wonut (waffle donut) and many more!

I know most of it from POPSUGAR's food youtube channel and a website called Culinary Bro-Down who actually invented ramnut. There are also loads of recipes in the internet so I think you should try them out or invent your own hybrids!

Orange

Orange. Lately, people have been commenting on how orange I am. Not my skin but because of my backpack, water bottle, purse and pouches (plural as in all of my pouches I carry to school). At first I didn't realized it but I now I am aware of how orange I am LOL. And honestly most of those items came from different person as in a gift so that's why I didn't realized it.

I don't hate it but many people do. Since I'm the miss orange in school, I just wanted to say that orange is not that bad in fact only a certain person can rock it and you will found yourself rarely see orange clothing because of it. I think it is uncommon to see a girl dressed in a plain orange dress rather than a plain pink dress. Monochromatically, orange is not the best option but I really think there is a cool combo you can make with the color orange such as pink and orange, orange and white, etc.

In my opinion orange is a nice color and you shouldn't judge it as a bad color because you haven't see the specified color of orange. Like I said before in the previous post, color is not limited by the seven colors of the rainbow. Each color of the rainbow can be specified into a better color and vise versa. This also applies to orange, orange can be specified as vermillion, dusty orange, tawny orange, etc and I am sure that at least you will like one of them.

So before you hate a color, see their specification first because I am sure you will like one of them. But I also think otherwise, I think you will found something you really hate so from now on if somebody ask a color you hate just say a color specifically hahaha.

P.S.
I forgot to mention that this is almost the end of my blog (I have one or two posts left) because my blog is actually a school project due at the end of February which is just around the corner. I haven't decide wether I should continue this blog or not but I will announce my decision on March.

les colours

Colors. Every time I heard someone asks me what is my favorite color, I honestly can't decide. I love every color but in a certain shade. I don't think color is just limited by the colors of rainbow. It's not only seven but more than that. I love colors in general because all of them have their own uniqueness.

So when somebody ask me what is my favorite color, I can't decide. I like all of the seven color. I like purple because I love lilac, I like blue because I like sea foam color, I like yellow because I like baby yellow and so on. Some how I have a certain phase where I am obsessed with a certain color. I often change my favorite color because every time a person ask me what is my favorite color, I will say my favorite color at the moment so it will differ every time.

Ok about colors, I come to think that girls like myself probably have the same opinion about colors. It is not limited by those seven colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet) it is more than that. Why I say girls? well because the majority of girls will say maroon instead of red or turquoise instead of blue when they see them. Another reason, in my opinion, is because of the fact that girls love shopping. If we are looking for a certain clothing or bag we will most likely decide based on their design and color. We usually commented on how dark or bright it is, so maybe girls created the idea of naming colors specifically in the past and that's why there is an authority on colors PANTONE.

For all of you who are not familiar with Pantone Inc. , it is the official authority on colors. They created names for colors and decide the color of the year (2015's color of the year is marsala). They also created the code for colors so it is easier for designers to give a specific color to another person without changing the hue or anything. Pantone also made color chips and books. Fun fact: Pantone also decide the color of the day and today's color is lavender mist (Link to today's colorstrology). Cute name right? that is why I love to read their color specifier book because I can know cute names of each color such as Honeysuckle, Dry sea grass, Tiger Lily, etc.

Now I think we clearly know that there are so many colors in our life but some of them are just unavailable for make up right? Well recently I found out that it is possible to print make up! I can't believe that I just found out about this because it is almost a year after the founder, Grace Choi, officially launched the printer called Mink! Here's a video of Grace explaining her creation.

That's the end of my post! I hope this post is not just a random thought but also informative for all girls in desperate need of colorful make up (by the way this is not a promotional post or anything) hehehe. Okay, hope you all have a great weekend!

Delphie

It is exactly 31 days to spring and many fashion brands are giving a preview of their spring collection and I just adore Mulberry's Delphie bag!

First of all. No, I am not a girl who owns branded bags and clothing but I love looking at fashion look books because it usually gave me some fashion inspirations. So I saw a video on youtube posted by Mulberry yesterday and I am so so in love with the bag they are promoting. It is a bag called Delphie which I think is perfectly designed based on the size, variants of colors and fabric. I think it is a definition of a perfect go-to bag.

What I love about it is the fact that it is flipable (is that even a word hahaha well you get what I mean) as shown in the video I mentioned.

It's sure nice to have that bag because it is like owning two bags in a form of one. But I think it is still pricey since it's the new arrival. The only thing that I don't really like is the push lock because I never really like it but hey that's only my opinion and design wise, it's nice and unique to have.

Elasticity

I'm sorry that I haven't been able to post anything lately since I am busy with my practical examination and I don't have anything interesting to talk about other than the exam hahaha. But this post is inspired by the practical examination in my PE class. So we were given the list of gymnastic position to choose from. It's for our gymnastic score and I chose to do the splits.

I don't know why but every one who heard somebody was doing splits is like "OMG you are so elastic blablabla I am unable to do that blablabla" or starting to question "Did you take ballet lessons?". I don't understand why people was saying those things because you know what? I think everyone without any related deficiency is able to do it.

I think if you practice hard and do it properly, you will most likely able to do the splits just like any other gymnastic positions. You don't have to be a ballerina to do it. If you want to just practice and I'm sure you will grow much more stronger.

When people asked me wether I take ballet lesson or not, I said yes I used to took it in kindergarten until the third grade and they instantly think that is why I am able to do the splits now. But NO it is not because I took ballet lessons, it is because I practice to train my muscle and maintain my elasticity. Do you think that without practicing your skill will stay there? Just like any other muscle it won't stay strong without any effort.

So I say if you want to do the splits or other gymnastic poses, do it there is nothing wrong about starting something new  by  working your muscle BUT remember practice does not makes perfect but perfect practice makes perfect so don't hurt yourself or push yourself too much because everybody have their own limit and good luck!

orange marmalade

As I mentioned before in my previous post about webtoon, many of my friends recommend me to read the Orange Marmalade by Seokwoo comic strip and today I did read it. I am so surprised because it is not as I imagine it would be. I do not like that lovey-dovey type of story and this one certainly not that but there are more to it from the main character. I am currently on the latest episode #36 and I have been enjoying reading it. I will definitely recommend this to read as my friends told me too.

a bowl of dessert

Not too long ago, I went to a mall with my sister. Well there's nothing unusual there but something clicks me when we (me and my sister) discussed about ourselves sharing a bowl of dessert, watch a romantic movie and other "date" things. We didn't think it's weird at all because we are girls. It's okay for girls to do that. People considered it as something normal.

We think that if boys do those stuff it would look weird and people will easily judge them by saying they are gay. We are just stating the facts here people. My question is why? Why is our society that mean?

Two guys hanging out is not always gay and if they are so what? they have their rights to be who they are. Think of it this way, a boy and a girl hanging out in a mall doesn't mean they are a couple right? Or in my case sharing a bowl of dessert doesn't mean we are in a romantic date. We shared it because it has a big portion.

I also think those "date" activities in the mall is normal to do because dating is doing something you two enjoy. So those "date" things are actually great to do even with a friend instead of a boyfriend or girlfriend.

So to guys who wanted to have a great one-o-one time with your friend, I know you get a weird and awkward feeling or a dating vibe but actually it is okay and it is normal to feel that ay at first because our society have been implemented that since we are little. So  dear fellow readers, here's a little message for you: don't judge.

valentine's day

Valentine's day is just around the corner and I wanted to share my opinion about that day. I don't know why but I never really celebrate valentine's day and I don't like the idea of it. Well it is a great day because it reminds us to show our love to people that we love and care about, but I don't know why it is that special.

In my opinion, I think if you love somebody you should express it every single day in real actions. I don't need flowers, chocolates or anything in pink from somebody that show his / her affection for me.

I always think that everything about valentine's day is overrated by many people. You can call me unromantic but it is true. For me, valentine's day is an ordinary day where apparently many couples spend a lot of money on.

Again I think if you love somebody you should express your love every single day, not in this particular day. I think you don't have to buy anything or eat fancy dinner to express your love because if you really really love her she knows that you don't have to do that to show how much you love her. But then again I think there are just some girls who love that kind of affection by buying them chocolates, etc and that is another story.

Well that is all about my opinion on vals day! I'm not hoping any body to agree on that but I just wanted to remind you that you should make your love ones happy every single day.

webtoon

Webtoon is an app of webcomic by naver, the creator of line, which publish comic online in a particular schedule. I love this app so much! First of all I love reading comic and I can be easily addicted but because of the fact that this app publish the comic strips on a schedule, it prevent me to finish a comic in one day and only read them in certain days. It may sound weird for comic lovers but I feel that it is a great way to prevent me reading too long and not being productive as a student.

I am currently reading three comic : "Tales of the Unusual", "Dead Days" and "Salty Studio". My friends also recommend me to read "Annarasumanara" and "Cheese in the trap". It is not only available in webtoon, you also can read it online somewhere else but I think an mobile app (you can access it with your laptop too) is really nice to have because they schedule it for you, it's available in many language (including English of course) and it's totally FREE!

Because I love the those three comic I have mentioned I wanted to tell a short story. It is not completed yet so I don't think this is a spoiler since I don't know the ending yet.

Tales of the unusual Seongdae Oh
This is actually my first webcomic I read in webtoon. I love it because it is kind of thrilling and exciting at the same time. It  contains mini series in it about unusual and mysterious stories which made me love it soooo much. It has a great graphic too! It is scheduled every wednesday and thursday and it is currently on the 51st episode. I highly recommend this comic series!

Dead days DEY
This is a story about a virus outbreak and zombie apocalypse survivors. I'm not sure where this story is going though since it is quite new with only 19 episodes. But I love the graphic and the story because it is kind of confusing in such ways but it made me very curious about the what's really going on.

So this one is very different with the other two. It is romantic comedy comic (which is the type of comic that I love besides thriller and mystery)about a guy who used to working to his father but quits and pursue his dreams in drawing instead. He is still learning to draw with the help of a girl who stop by his studio every single day to work as an illustrator and teach obviously. I think it's gonna be a cute relationship between the two. It is now on the 36th episode. I love this series because it is not a lovey-dovey story but it also have few supporting characters who each one of them have their own story.

This is the main characters

Two of the three supporting characters (I didn't find the other character's picture)

Well happy reading!

less is more

I think every body know the phrase "Less is more" but I didn't really understand the application of that phrase in every day life, except in cooking and fashion, until the day that my house is full of cacti.

To the people who know me well, they probably know my obsession of having a cute little cactus to put in my window sill. I wanted one so much until the day father got me one. I was very very happy. Little did I know. He became obsessed with cactus. He started to make terrarium, not one but three! I even have a cacti corner in our garden!

it looks quite cute but this is only a small part of the corner

Okay in that picture it looks so cute but it is only a small part of that corner and there are more cactus over there. I don't like this feeling. You know that feeling when you really wanted ice cream. If you got one, you'll feel very happy and enjoyed it but when you had too much ice cream you got sick of it. Yeah cactus is the ice cream for my case. (Well I still love succulents but I don't think I'll buy more cactus)

Therefore I know the true meaning of "Less is more"
