Colors. Every time I heard someone asks me what is my favorite color, I honestly can't decide. I love every color but in a certain shade. I don't think color is just limited by the colors of rainbow. It's not only seven but more than that. I love colors in general because all of them have their own uniqueness.
So when somebody ask me what is my favorite color, I can't decide. I like all of the seven color. I like purple because I love lilac, I like blue because I like sea foam color, I like yellow because I like baby yellow and so on. Some how I have a certain phase where I am obsessed with a certain color. I often change my favorite color because every time a person ask me what is my favorite color, I will say my favorite color at the moment so it will differ every time.
Ok about colors, I come to think that girls like myself probably have the same opinion about colors. It is not limited by those seven colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet) it is more than that. Why I say girls? well because the majority of girls will say maroon instead of red or turquoise instead of blue when they see them. Another reason, in my opinion, is because of the fact that girls love shopping. If we are looking for a certain clothing or bag we will most likely decide based on their design and color. We usually commented on how dark or bright it is, so maybe girls created the idea of naming colors specifically in the past and that's why there is an authority on colors PANTONE.
For all of you who are not familiar with Pantone Inc. , it is the official authority on colors. They created names for colors and decide the color of the year (2015's color of the year is marsala). They also created the code for colors so it is easier for designers to give a specific color to another person without changing the hue or anything. Pantone also made color chips and books. Fun fact: Pantone also decide the color of the day and today's color is lavender mist (Link to today's colorstrology). Cute name right? that is why I love to read their color specifier book because I can know cute names of each color such as Honeysuckle, Dry sea grass, Tiger Lily, etc.
Now I think we clearly know that there are so many colors in our life but some of them are just unavailable for make up right? Well recently I found out that it is possible to print make up! I can't believe that I just found out about this because it is almost a year after the founder, Grace Choi, officially launched the printer called Mink! Here's a video of Grace explaining her creation.
That's the end of my post! I hope this post is not just a random thought but also informative for all girls in desperate need of colorful make up (by the way this is not a promotional post or anything) hehehe. Okay, hope you all have a great weekend!
